Welcome to Québec City!
Located at the mouth of the St. Lawrence River, Québec City will charm you with its culture, its architecture of mixed French and British influence, and its diversified cuisine. Well known for its Old World charm combined with New World comfort, it is the only fortified city north of Mexico. Since 1985, its historical district has been on UNESCO’s World Heritage List.
The provincial capital offers a wealth of discoveries and activities for all tastes. Whether you wish to visit one of our museums or historical sites, or participate in an outdoor activity, you will be only minutes away from most of the tourist attractions the city has on offer. And let’s not forget the
Québec City Summer Festival
! For the past 42 years, the Festival d'été de Québec, the first of its kind in North America, has put on hundreds of exciting and varied shows and concerts for the entire 11 days of the festival, making it Canada’s biggest outdoor artistic event. With more than 300 shows in 11 days, the excitement that builds in the heart of Québec City is contagious. It’s a must! The Festival will be under way during the 2011 Conference. The Hydro-Québec pass will be on sale on April 30th directly at

.
The
Cirque du Soleil
, offers a new exclusive creation to Québec City, an unforgettable street event to discover, named: « Les Chemins Invisibles ». This special presentation around one hour and a half, is presented during the summer, between June and August, in the 'Quartier Saint-Roch' under the access road of the Dufferin-Montmorency road (L’Îlot Fleurie). Shows are from Wednesday to Sunday nights and are free of charge.
With its affordable accommodations and the legendary hospitality of its citizens, it’s not surprising that Québec City welcomes over four million tourists each year!
